Go To The Soul Society
To unlock Shikai, you need to first rank up to Grade 2 within the Soul Society. You can do this by completing mission board quests in Rukon until you rank up. After this point, you will be transferred to Soul Society.
Here, you can join a Division in the Soul Society to level up your Grade further. Joining the Soul Society Division will give you access to the Division quests, which can get you a lot of exp.
Reach Grade 2 And Meditate
After you reach Grade 2 by levelling up, you will need to meditate to get your Shikai. Find a quiet spot on the map and press M to meditate. You will need to do three sessions of meditation of 20 minutes each, with a total of 60 minutes.
