Grow A Garden’s Cosmetic update, added one of the most requested features, garden plot expansion. This addition allows you to significantly increase the size of their farms, giving you more space to grow crops.
It also lets you showcase cosmetic items unlocked through crates and the new shop system. So to build a beautifully decorated plot, expanding your garden is a critical step. However, it’s not cheap, and you’ll need a considerable stash of Sheckles to take full advantage of the upgrade system.
How To Expand Garden Size in Grow A Garden
After the update, you’ll notice a new “Expand Garden” signboard attached to one of your fences when you load into Grow A Garden. Walk up to it and interact with the board to see the available expansion options. If you have enough Sheckles, press and hold E to purchase the upgrade.
While the process is easy, but the prices are extremely high. It’s recommended that only when you’ve built up your cash reserves invest in these upgrades. The expansions are available on three sides, each offering unique improvements to your plot’s layout and size.
All Plot Expansion Options in Grow A Garden
Here’s a breakdown of every expansion option currently available in the game:

The back expansions are significantly more expensive and have cooldown timers. You can bypass the wait by spending Robux, but if you’re not in a rush, it’s best to wait for the timers out and save your premium currency.
Why Should You Increase Plot Size
Expanding your garden isn’t necessary in the early stages, but it becomes almost essential once you hit mid to late game. If your farm is generating large amounts of Sheckles through high-tier mutations and multi-harvest crops, then expansion is the logical next step.
In total, you’ll need around 2,000,000,000 Sheckles to fully unlock all expansions. While that does seem steep, if you’ve reached a point where your income is consistent and high, this investment will massively improve your efficiency and creative options.
