The four books that you need to find are literally in the room where the painting is, so you won’t have any difficulty looking for them. Here are all their exact locations:
- Pride Before the Fall – This one’s located on the bookshelf itself.
- Revelations: A New Understanding – This one’s located on the table right by the bookshelf.
- The One Who Soared – This book is located on the desk right beside the previous table from where you got the second book.
- Stalwart to the End – This one’s located on a table to the right as soon as you enter the room.
Now that we’re done with the finding part, let’s move on to the arranging part, which is pretty simple. Observe the painting on the wall opposite the bookshelf carefully and you’ll see that it features a lion, a bull, an eagle, and a winged man, and all of these characters are present on the books’ spines. You’ll need to arrange them in a way that corresponds to their placement on the painting itself.
How To Solve The Bookshelf Puzzle In Silent Hill 2 Remake
Now here comes the tricky part. There’s also a man in the painting that’s getting pierced by spears downwards. But the golden spear in the emblem on the bookshelf is facing upward. This means whatever the character’s placement is in the painting, their placement on the bookshelf will be opposite. So here’s exactly how you should place the books on the bookshelf:
- Winged Man in the upper left slot.
- Eagle in the upper right slot.
- Bull in the bottom left slot.
- Lion in the bottom right slot.
