As simple as it may sound, playing Content Warning without proper knowledge can be pretty challenging for beginners. So, here’s a complete comprehensive Content Warning guide for beginners to help players grasp the know-how and become the best SpöökTubers in the game!

Tips And Tricks For Content Warning

When you start, you get a goal of hitting 3,000 views in the first three days, which can be challenging to reach if you don’t know what you’re doing. Playing with friends can make this step more manageable, but when playing in a random lobby, you might have a tough time getting everyone to agree on things.

Regardless of these facts, there are some things you need to do in every game to ensure that you’re on the right track to becoming famous. So follow these nine valuable tips from our guide for Content Warning, and get set towards becoming the SpöökTube sensation!

    1. Know What To Film And Gain Views

    camera recording a dark room

To get views, having a good cameraman is essential for every team. If your teammates aren’t fit for the job, then take charge and become the responsible cameraman. So, now that you have a cameraman, what should you film to get views?  Film every scary and dangerous moment you can find.

Be on the lookout for things like emotes, monsters, bones, corpses and traps. Each one of those things can help you get views. Getting chased, attacked or taking damage also gets quite a lot of views if you can film it properly.

    2. Create Your Own Scary Moments

Filming is good as long as you have moments to capture, but your luck might only sometimes be in your favor. Sometimes you might be wondering for quite a long time but still not encounter a single monster. What should you do then? You can even run out of torch batteries before anything happens.

In cases like those, you have to create your scary moments. Record emotes, jump down from stairs and heights and throw yourself on those giant wheels to get injured and record those. All of these moments don’t need monsters but still get you tons of views.

    3. Stay Aware Of Monsters

The world of Content Warning is infested with monsters of various kinds. You should know every monster and how to counter them in order to survive these dangerous beings. Not knowing about them only makes the game more challenging and leads to you getting killed without any clue.

Check out our guide on every monster in Content Warning and how to counter them to learn in detail about each of these creatures. Staying aware of them can not only help you avoid an unforeseen fate but also help you record them correctly.

    4. Spend Your Money Wisely

    shop with emote catalog

There are many ways to spend your money in Content Warning, but only one way to earn it. You need to get views to earn money and then spend it on items, emotes or in the hospital. So, how can you spend these dollars wisely? The thumb rule is to first invest in torches, then items and finally emotes.

Getting good torches allows you to survive in the darkness for longer. Items will let you escape death, revive teammates and even counter certain monsters. Finally, emotes are great for recording while your teams are getting killed. Regardless of that, if you want to know how to earn more money, check out our Content Warning guide on that.

    5. Dying Can Get Expensive

If you or your teammate dies while submerged, they can get revived at the hospital. This doesn’t cost you any money when you’re just beginning the game. As you progress through the days and start getting famous, this cost increases as well.

Keeping this in mind, be sure to avoid dying in later stages, or else it would be pretty expensive to recover. Not only will you lose any purchased items, but you also have to pay hefty payments at the hospital to get revived.

    6. Torch Is Life

Among the long list of items that you can buy and use in the game, the torch is by far the most essential out of them. When you start, you get an old torch that will run out of battery in just a few minutes.

Navigating in the dark sanctum is already quite tricky, and spotting the hidden dangers gets much more challenging if you don’t have a torch. That is why you should be very mindful when using the torch, and it should also be the first item that you invest in.

    7. Know Your Team And Items

Having a team of friends is great, but playing with strangers can be a bit tough if there’s a lack of collaboration. To deal with the problem of stupid teammates, you should first delegate roles. Tell everyone their role to ensure that every game goes smoothly.

Apart from your teammates, the next thing you need to know about are the items. Exploring the long catalog of items can be confusing if you don’t see the purpose of the items. Know what every item does before buying to make the most out of your money. Feel free to check out our guide to learn about them in detail.

    8. Protect Your Cameraman

Exploring the darkness can be fun, but if your cameraperson dies, then things just get astronomically difficult. You might think that “the Cameraman never dies,” but that’s a myth in Content Warning (Yes, I’m speaking from personal experience). To deal with this problem, be sure to protect the cameraman at all costs.

If you’re playing in a trio or team of four, always keep your cameraman in the middle. This will help them to avoid getting jumped from the front or ambushed from the back. If you’re in a duo, the best thing to do would be to tell them to return the moment someone gets attacked.

    9. Don’t Get Lost

exploring the old world with a torch

The final tip for you would be, Do Not Get Lost. The Old World is a dark and vast maze and the chances of you getting lost are guaranteed. Once you get lost, the likelihood of you and your team dying is also exceptionally high.

So, what should you do when you get lost? Keep running back. The best thing to do is to avoid getting lost in the first place. The way you can do that is always to follow a fixed path. Either always go in a straight path, or only left turns, and so on to avoid losing track of your location.
