It’s time to drop the mic in BitLife as the Unlike Us Challenge puts you in the shoes of an aspiring rapper chasing fame, fortune, and a little drama. You’ll need to be born in Los Angeles, go platinum, turn friends into enemies, and rake in millions on tour, all while riding the highs of the music industry.
This guide breaks down every task so you can complete the challenge quickly. Just remember, the Musician Career Pack is required to complete most objectives. Without it, you won’t be able to become a rapper or earn platinum records.
BitLife Unlike Us Challenge Guide
The Unlike Us challenge comprises five core tasks that must all be completed in a single life. These include the following prerequisites:
- Be born in Los Angeles (California)
- Become a famous rapper
- Turn a friend into an enemy
- Make $1M+ while going on tour
- Have 3+ records go platinum
Each step builds on the previous one, with fame acting as a central mechanic that influences your music career and your interactions with friends and fans alike.
How To Be Born in Los Angeles

Start by creating a new character and setting their country to the United States and their city to Los Angeles which happens to be in California. You can choose any gender or name, but to make future steps easier, select Music as the character’s special talent during the setup.
If the game doesn’t offer it, reroll until it appears. Having high Looks also increases your chances of success as a musician. If your starting stats are low, you can compensate later with gym visits, plastic surgery, or spending time in the salon and spa.
As you age up, try to build a small circle of friends during elementary and high school. While the number of friends isn’t critical, having at least two or three ensures that you’ll have someone available to target when the time comes to turn one into an enemy.
How To Become a Famous Rapper

Once your character turns eight, begin taking Voice Lessons by navigating to Activities > Mind & Body > Voice Lessons. These lessons are free for minors as long as your parents approve. Continue taking them annually until your Singing skill is maxed out.
At eighteen, open the Occupation menu, then head into Special Careers > Musician > Solo Artist to audition for a music label. You can attempt up to three auditions per year. If you’re offered a contract in a genre other than rap, decline it and keep trying until you get the rap genre specifically.
After signing your rap contract, you’ll either become famous instantly if you’ve previously unlocked the Hollywood Star, or you’ll need to earn fame gradually by releasing albums and performing concerts. Fame will rise over time as you consistently put out work and engage with your audience.
How To Turn a Friend into an Enemy
At some point after establishing friendships earlier in life, go to the Relationships tab, select one of your friends, and scroll down to find the Change Our Status option. From there, choose to become enemies.
Confirming this action will immediately fulfill the third challenge objective. Do note that your new enemy can cause problems or show up in random events, especially after you become famous. If you’ve already lost all your friends due to random events or ignored relationships, you have to make new ones and then change your status after bonding for a few years.
How To Make Millions While Going On Tour

After securing your rap career and building some fame, head to the Job tab and access your rapper career options. Here, you’ll see various actions such as producing albums or going on tours. Choose the Tour option only after your popularity is reasonably high, as tour profits are directly tied to fame and global appeal.
Each tour can be done once per year. To fulfill the challenge requirement, at least one of your tours must yield $1 million or more in net profit. If your first few tours fall short, focus on releasing successful records and regularly practicing your musical skills until your tours net bigger profits.
How To Have Three Records Go Platinum

This is the most luck-based portion of the challenge. You’ll need to release albums or singles and hope that at least three of them hit Platinum status, which signifies one million units sold.
Your record’s success is influenced by various factors, including your fame level, genre consistency, album title, and cover art. However, the outcomes are largely random, so don’t stress too much about finding the perfect combination.
Once you’ve fulfilled all the above conditions, you should see the completion message of the Unlike Us Challenge in BitLife. Your reward? A randomized cosmetic item you can carry into future lives.
