How Do You Join the Villain Invasion Event in Anime Expeditions?

To join the Villain Invasion event in Anime Expeditions, launch the game and click the Events button located on the left side of the screen. This opens the list of all currently active events, where Villain Invasion appears at the top. Select the event, and you will see the Event Game Mode section.
Once you click the Event Game Mode section, choose the Act you want to play, and then start the stage. You can replay previously completed Acts anytime to farm Villain Coins, Crow Relics, and other event rewards.
How Does the Villain Invasion Mode Work in Anime Expeditions?

Every act revolves around a different mechanic, and understanding them beforehand makes clearing the stages significantly easier. Below, we’ve listed all the acts and the modifiers.
| Act | Main Enemies | Enemy Modifiers |
|---|---|---|
| Act 1: Death | Armored, Commander, Death | Armored enemies reduce AOE damage by 33%. Commander buffs nearby enemies with 20% Health and Speed. Death grants permanent stacking 5% movement speed. |
| Act 2: Tartaros | Reinforced, Tartaros, Veil | Reinforced enemies reduce all incoming damage by 30%. Tartaros consumes nearby enemies to heal. Veil grants nearby enemies shields worth 200% of its HP. |
| Act 3: Sword | Explosive, Sprinter, Sword | Explosive enemies stun nearby units when defeated. Sprinter enemies move 45% faster. Sword enemies respawn unless defeated while affected by DoT. |
| Act 4: Dawn | Dawn, Splitter, Summoner | Splitter divides into three enemies. Summoner continuously spawns enemies. Dawn adds five shields while reducing spawned enemy HP by 99%, alongside all previous mechanics. |
How Do You Complete Act 1 of Villain Invasion Mode?
The first act is designed to punish teams that rely entirely on AoE attacks. Since Armored enemies reduce incoming AoE damage by one-third, single-target and line-based attackers perform much better throughout the stage. Strong units like Eighth Sword, Puppet, Lady Giant, and Cursed Student are excellent choices because they deal damage without depending on circular AoE attacks.
Commander enemies should always become your highest priority. Their buffs stack quickly throughout the wave, increasing both enemy durability and movement speed. The biggest danger comes from Death enemies, whose permanent movement speed buffs can quickly spiral out of control.
Position slowing units like Salmon Sorcerer (Grade 1) across the longest section of the map so every enemy remains slowed for the longest time. Since slowing removes the accumulated speed buffs from Death enemies, this placement becomes critical. Keep your primary DPS units covering the same area to maximize damage while enemies are slowed.
How Do You Complete Act 2 of Villain Invasion Mode?
Unlike the previous act, Act 2 is almost entirely a raw damage check. Reinforced enemies permanently reduce incoming damage, leaving no way to bypass their defenses. The only solution is to bring stronger damage dealers like Shadow (Divine) and 8th Sword (Berserker), and continuously upgrade them.
Whenever Tartaros appears, eliminate it immediately before it consumes nearby enemies and restores large amounts of health. Meanwhile, Veil enemies shield surrounding enemies, effectively doubling or tripling the amount of damage required to clear waves.
Place farming units early and focus on farming during the opening waves. Position your highest DPS units near the middle of the map where they can attack enemies multiple times. Buff units should be placed so their aura covers as many primary damage dealers as possible, allowing your DPS units to eliminate Veil and Tartaros enemies before they become overwhelming.
How Do You Complete Act 3 of Villain Invasion Mode?
Act 3 introduces perhaps the most important mechanic in the entire event. Sword enemies will respawn up to two additional times unless they die while affected by a DoT effect. Without a reliable DoT unit, clearing this act consistently becomes extremely difficult.
Explosive enemies also become dangerous because they stun nearby units for two seconds after dying. Keep your units positioned slightly away from the track while maintaining their attack range. Sprinter enemies move significantly faster than normal enemies, so make sure your early-game damage is serious enough.
Always deploy your DoT unit near the beginning of the path so enemies become affected before reaching your main damage dealers. Position your primary DPS slightly farther down the lane to finish enemies after the DoT has been applied, preventing Sword enemies from respawning. Keep all units far enough away from the track to avoid Explosive enemy stun blasts.
How Do You Complete Act 4 of Villain Invasion Mode?
The final act combines every mechanic from the previous acts while introducing the Dawn, Splitter, and Summoner enemies. Dawn reduces the Health of enemies spawned by Splitter and Summoner by 99%, but compensates by giving them five protective shields. Splitter enemies divide into three smaller versions upon defeat, while Summoners continuously create additional enemies every five seconds.
On top of these mechanics, you will still need to deal with Death’s speed buffs, Sword’s respawns, Tartaros’ healing, Reinforced damage reduction, and Veil shields. Because of the overwhelming number of mechanics, tackling this stage with a team of three to four teammates is highly recommended.
To clear this act, you must have one player place slowing units near the start of the path to constantly remove Death speed stacks, while another positions DoT units early enough to prevent Sword enemies from respawning. Main DPS units should be placed around the center of the map where multiple buffs overlap, allowing them to destroy Splitter, Summoner, and Tartaros enemies quickly.
You must own a Crow Relic to receive Villain Coins and the completion rewards from the final Crow stage. If you are without one, you can still join to assist teammates but won’t receive the stage rewards.
How Do You Get Crow Relics in Anime Expeditions?
One of the main reasons you must repeatedly farm all three Acts is the chance to obtain the Crow Relics. It is important because this will allow you to enter and play Act 4 of the Villain Invasion Mode.
| Item | Drop Rate |
|---|---|
| Crow Relic (Act 1 to 3) | 2.5% to 5% |
What is the Best Team Comp for Clearing the Villain Invasion Mode in Anime Expeditions?

Building a balanced team is key to clearing every Act of Villain Invasion. Since each stage introduces different enemy mechanics, your lineup should include a mix of slowing units, farming, high DPS, crowd control, and DoT effects. Below, we’ve listed the best team comp for clearing all the Villain Invasion Mode Acts.
| Unit | Role |
|---|---|
| Stone Alchemist | Farm unit that can be placed up to three times and generates a steady amount of Yen after being fully upgraded, helping you build your economy early. |
| Salmon Sorcerer (Grade 1) | Provides excellent slowing effects, making it extremely useful against enemies that gain stacking movement speed buffs, especially during Act 1. |
| Lady Giant (Envy) / Elf Mage (Unleashed) | Lady Giant (Envy) deals massive damage after transforming and can summon a wall that blocks the enemy path. Elf Mage (Unleashed) is a solid alternative thanks to its strong Line AOE damage and follow-up attacks. |
| Puppet (Telekinetic) / Razorjaw (Hunter) | Puppet (Telekinetic) applies Puppet Marks that increase the damage enemies take and occasionally summons a Doll to provide additional support. Razorjaw (Hunter) is another strong alternative, capable of staggering enemies while continuously increasing its damage with each slash when its main ability is active. |
| Cursed Student (True Love) | Applies Bleed to enemies, dealing DoT, and can also trigger follow-up attacks from allied units within its range, making it invaluable for Act 3. |
| Eighth Sword (Berserk) | Deals powerful Line AoE damage and inflicts Dismembered, reducing enemy movement speed while providing excellent wave-clearing potential. |
