When you first load up Dragon POW, you get greeted by an introductory fight where to learn about the story and the main protagonist “Sig.” You are tasked to win against the Demon Lord by fighting against numerous monsters and absorbing their powers.

As you progress through the unskippable tutorial, you get to learn the various mechanics of the game, notably, the Training and Evolution feature and the Artifact and Wishes features. Apart from the bullet-hell aspect, you also get to enjoy a Rogue-like feature in every stage to make the fights more unique. There is also a dedicated section for idle rewards so that you can keep making progress even when offline.

Artifacts also provide stat boosts and passive effects which make your Dragon more powerful. You get guaranteed chances to find Epic artifacts from the Wishes after 50-70 tries but otherwise, the chances of getting Epic and higher rarity artifacts are quite low.
