99 Nights in the Forest is a survival Roblox game, where you need to survive 99 days in a forest from a vicious Deer and its cultists. As part of the Week 2 Christmas Update, the hardworking elves have ventured into the woods to continue spreading holiday cheer with Christmas Lights. However, peace doesn’t last long as the vicious Deer has returned!

Now, it’s your job to find the Christmas Lights that are hidden throughout the forest. While the festive task can look simple, the hostile environment and the constant threats make it feel anything but easy. So, to help you out, here’s a complete Christmas Lights Guide in 99 Nights in the Forest.

How to Get Christmas Lights in 99 Nights in the Forest

Christmas Lights are a limited-time event item introduced during Christmas Update Week 2 in 99 Nights in the Forest. Unlike other seasonal items, Christmas Lights cannot be crafted or bought from vendors. Instead, they are earned naturally through exploration and survival activities as you venture across the forest.

You can obtain Christmas Lights by interacting with the environment and enemies around you. They spawn randomly on standard trees scattered throughout the snowy map and can also drop from hostile mobs like Wolves. If a tree has Christmas Lights wrapped around it, chopping it down with your axe will cause the Lights to drop automatically, along with the usual wood resources.

Wolves can also be seen roaming the forest with Christmas Lights tied around them, making them easy to spot against the white snow backdrop. Likewise, defeating them will drop meat as usual, along with Christmas Lights. Since their spawns are random, the most efficient way to collect Lights is by clearing explored areas during your run.

How to Use Christmas Lights in 99 Nights in the Forest

Christmas Lights can only be used inside the North Pole Biome. This biome is located on the northern side of the camp and is exclusive to the Christmas Update. Within the area, you’ll come across Christmas-themed content, along with multiple Christmas Trees scattered near elf structures. Among these trees, only the ones without snow are meant to be decorated.

The exact positions of trees can vary between runs. However, the total number of interactable trees is limited to twelve. Once you have Christmas Lights in your inventory, approach an undecorated Christmas Tree in the North Pole Biome and hold the E key to interact and decorate the tree. For every successfully lit tree, the game will reward you with three Candy Canes.

Once you’ve completed decorating all twelve Christmas Trees, a special cutscene will play out, confirming that the North Pole is safer than before. So, this marks the end of the event and will permanently unlock the North Pole Biome as a secondary safe zone. Afterward, you gain the ability to build structures in the area using blueprints found throughout the biome.

All Rewards from Christmas Lights Event in 99 Nights in the Forest

For decorating each tree, you’ll receive three Candy Canes. With only twelve trees available to light up, you can earn a total of 36 Candy Canes from the event. Moreover, these Candy Canes serve as a special seasonal currency, and you can use them at the Christmas Elf Shop to purchase exclusive, limited-time items available only during the Christmas update.
