With the Lunar New Year update, the Western Region got added to Hero’s Adventure: Road To Passion. This new region also brought a new questline involving the Holy Fire Sect and Divine Ox Treasury.
With so much content to explore, here’s how to get on all the treasures and items hidden across the Western Region. We’ll also get into the complete Holy Fire Sect Questline details and how you can trigger the events needed to unlock it.
Western Stories: Beginning The Quest
When your main character hits level 60 in Hero’s Adventure: Road To Passion, and you’ve completed the Jianghu sparring event, you can trigger the Western Stories Questline when you open the map.
You get challenged by a Vagabond, whom you need to defeat. Once defeated, he mentions the Jade Gate, which leads to the Western Region on the World Map. With that information, you must head to the Zhongzhou Region and travel to the Jade Gate.
When at the Jade Gate, you are stopped by the Emperor’s troops. The best options to travel across the Jade Gate are to show the ‘Imperial Token’ or fight the soldiers and unlock the Western Region.
Helping The Merchant and Escort Mission
On reaching the Outside of Jade Gate, you get a cutscene where you can save a tea merchant being attacked by gang members. When you help him out, you also get the option to escort him to Flame City.
When you accept this Quest, you must go to the Chang’an Inn. You can rest at the Inn while the Sandstorm passes away. Inside the Inn, you can meet Shi Wenxiu, whom you must beat when meeting for the first time. He is a member of the Cold Skin Gang, so you can increase your affinity with him by gifting him items.
You also see a room guarded by two people. The person in the room turns out to be the Master of Chaiwang Pavilion. Even if you beat the two guards, you cannot enter the room, so there’s no point in defeating them for no reason.
Exploring Flame City in Hero’s Adventure: Road To Passion
Flame City is the central location of the Western Region. After you reach here with the Merchant, he will give you 60,000 coins for escorting him along with the recipe of Thunder Shoot and part ways.
In the Flame City, you can do two quests, which are:
- Holy Fire Sect Questline (Divine Flame Sect)
- Cold Skin Gang Questline

Holy Fire Sect & Divine Ox Treasury Quest: How To Complete?
The Divine Ox treasury is a hidden location in the Western Region, rumored to be filled with many treasures. The Holy Fire Sect has its location and won’t provide it without force. Here are the steps to complete this Questline:
- When you reach Flame City, go to the Inn to trigger the quest for the Divine Ox Treasury.
- Leave Flame City and go to the World Map. You’ll find that the Holy Fire Sect is unlocked on the map. Go to the Sect to proceed with the Quest.
- On arrival at the Holy Fire Sect, you would have to fight against members of the Holy Fire Sect and then proceed to have a 1v1 fight against the Sect Leader.
- When you defeat the Holy Fire Sect leader, he will then reveal the location of the Divine Ox Treasury on the World Map. Travel to that location to proceed with the quest.
- When you reach the Divine Ox Treasury, you must beat a few Machine Bulls and Holy Fire Sect members to reach the Treasury Gate.
- To open the Treasury Gate, you require Machinery Level 5, 25 Strength, or the Thunder Shoot, whose recipe you get for escorting the Merchant.
- Inside the Treasury, you must fight the Level 85 “Gloomy Old Man” and a few Gang Members to claim the Treasures. The treasures are all Epic Grade items.
When you finish looting the Divine Ox Treasury, this questline will conclude. You also have a Stone Steele, which provides a Legendary Grade Treasure but requires an Expert level in Antique Skill.
How Do You Kill Holy Fire Sect Leader Fang Xiaoian?
After beating the Holy Fire Sect Leader for the first time, he does not exterminate the sect. If you revisit the sect, that would trigger a fight against the whole sect, including the sect leader Fang Xiaoian.
You should be at least Level 65+ to beat Fang Xiaoian and the Holy Fire Sect. If you manage to kill him, you get a Legendary Grade Glove, the “Dragon Slayer Palm”, a Legendary Grade Armour, the “Silk Armour”, along with other Legendary Grade valuables like “Way of Combat” and “Gold Bullion”.
This sect’s extermination is one of the most lucrative fights in Hero’s Adventure and the best for players looking for big loot and treasures in the Western Region.
Cold Skin Gang In Western Region: Quest And Rewards
The Cold Skin Gang is another sect in the Western Region. If you heal Shi Wenxiu at the Chang’an Inn, you can enter the Sect Base at the Flame City. When you enter, you can meet the sect leader, Huo Shilou and the second master, He Denuo.
If you gift “Insects” to He Denuo, you can learn Poison Skill EXP from him. Also, if you choose to “Exterminate” the Cold Skin Gang, you can gain a Legendary Grade Blade called the “Yang Dragon”. You should be at least level 70+ to exterminate the Cold Skin Gang completely.
