Grow A Garden is a popular Roblox experience where you plant seeds, grow plants, and sell the fruits and flowers for high profits to get rich. You can also multiply your crop values several times if you apply mutations to them, most of which are tied to specific weather events.
One such mutation that you can get is the Ceramic mutation, which was introduced in the Prehistoric update on July 5, 2025. However, to get the Ceramic mutation, you will also need to get the Sandy mutation as well So, here’s a complete guide explaining the how to get Ceramic mutation and why it’s worth getting.
How To Get Ceramic Mutation In Grow A Garden

To create the Ceramic Mutation, first get the Clay Mutation on your crop. Clay Mutation will occur when a plant is both Wet and Sandy. You can get the Wet Mutation from Rain or Thunderstorm events. And, you can get the Sandy Mutation during the Sandstorm event. If your plant has both, it gets the Clay Mutation.
Next, you will need to apply either the Burnt or Sundried Mutation. When Clay combines with Burnt or Sundried, both disappear and become Ceramic. This is not guaranteed, but you can improve your odds using Burnt Mutation Spray or waiting for a Heat Wave to cause Sundried.
What Is The Ceramic Mutation in Grow A Garden
Attribute | Value |
---|---|
Mutation Name | Ceramic Mutation |
How To Get | Combine Clay + Burnt OR Clay + Sundried |
Multiplier | x30 |
Visual Description | Darkened brown crop, looks similar to Sundried |
Ceramic replaces both Clay and Burnt/Sundried mutations, so you will not see those anymore once the crop changes.
Ceramic Mutation Buffs And Effects
The Ceramic Mutation does not stack with Burnt or Sundried. When it appears, it fully replaces both. However, it multiplies your crop’s value by x30, which is far higher than either Burnt (x4) or Sundried (x85). So even though you lose two effects, you gain much more in profit.
What Is the Sandstorm Weather Event In Grow A Garden

The Sandstorm event is a key part of many mutations in Grow A Garden. When this weather hits, the entire map becomes full of sand and the sky turns yellow. Any crops exposed to the sandstorm can get the Sandy Mutation during this time.
The Sandy Mutation is required to form Clay, and therefore also needed for Ceramic. To prepare for the Sandstorm weather event, you should plant crops just before the hour changes to have the maximum chance of getting the Sandy Mutation on your crops.

Best Mutations In Grow A Garden
If you want the highest profit per crop, you should aim for Celestial, Meteoric, and Ceramic Mutations. Celestial gives you x120 multiplier and only appears during Meteor Showers. Meteoric is rarer and tied to special updates. Still, you can get Ceramic Mutation with proper planning and strategy.
The easiest strong mutation that you can aim for is Ceramic, because you can trigger it using sprays and weather event that occurs often. You do not need to rely on random limited-time events or hope for seed stock to reset in the Seed Shop.
