Grow A Garden is a popular Roblox experience where you plant seeds, grow plants, and sell the fruits and flowers for high profits to get rich. You can also multiply your crops value several times if you apply mutations to them.

One of such mutations is the Bloodlit Mutation, which is tied to the Blood Moon event. In this guide, we will explain exactly how to get the Bloodlit Mutation, what it does, and what other admin-triggered mutations you can look out for in Grow A Garden.

To get the Bloodlit Mutation in Grow A Garden, you need to wait for the Blood Moon event to trigger. This is a nighttime variation that replaces the regular Nightfall with a 33 percent chance every four hours.

When the Blood Moon starts, the sky will turn deep red, and crops in your garden will begin mutating into Bloodlit versions at regular intervals. Roughly every 40 seconds, around 6 plants are selected randomly to receive the Bloodlit mutation.

This continues for about 4 minutes after the event begins, so it’s best to keep a lot of crops planted before nightfall to maximize your chances. For extra control, you can use the Night Staff, a gear item that lets you apply Bloodlit manually during night events.

The Bloodlit Mutation is one of the core Blood Moon-exclusive mutations that affects crops during this nighttime event. It’s easily recognizable due to its blood-red glow and swirling red mist around the fruit.

Bloodlit mutation gives your crops a 4x boost in its sell values, and you can stack it on top of other mutations like Gold and Rainbow as well. You will get a notification on your screen when this mutation is applied to your crops.

Although the 4x multiplier is on the lower side compared to rare mutations like Celestial or Disco, Bloodlit is relatively easier to get. You have a high chance of getting the Blood Moon event, as there is a 33 percent chance of this event occurring in Grow A Garden.

What Is The Blood Moon Event In Grow A Garden

The Blood Moon Event is part of the Lunar Glow update, first introduced on May 17, 2025. This event has a 33 percent chance of replacing a normal night every four hours and lasts for 15 minutes.

If it is triggered, the entire garden glows red, and crops start mutating into Bloodlit variants automatically. Not only does this event give you access to exclusive mutations like Bloodlit and Zombified, but it also unlocks the Blood Moon Shop:

Best Mutations In Grow A Garden

When it comes to permanent mutations in Grow A Garden, the most valuable one by far is the Celestial Mutation, giving an incredible x120 multiplier to your fruits. However, unlocking it depends entirely on encountering a Meteor Shower, which can only occur after Nightfall begins at the top of each hour.

After Celestial, the Shocked and Rainbow Mutations are the next best in terms of crop value. The Rainbow Mutation is extremely rare but doesn’t rely on any specific weather event, it can occur completely at random.

On the other hand, you can get the Shocked Mutation during Thunderstorms. You can slightly improve your odds of getting it by placing a Lightning Rod near your crops, which attracts bolts that can trigger the mutation.

      Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs

The Blood Moon lasts 15 minutes, slightly longer than a regular Nightfall, and crops begin mutating during the first 4 minutes.

      3. How many crops can become Bloodlit during one event?
