Grow A Garden is a popular Roblox game where you plant seeds, grow crops, and unlock rare pets that enhance your garden. During the Prehistoric Update, six new dinosaur pets were added, and the Pterodactyl is one of the most useful pets that you can hatch.

The Pterodactyl is a Legendary pet that you can hatch from the Dinosaur Egg. It has a unique ability to apply the Windstruck mutation and it also boosts your jumping ability. So, this complete guide will explain how you can get it, what it does, and why it is be worth using.

To get the Pterodactyl pet, you need to get a Dinosaur Egg. This special pet egg was added in the Prehistoric Update and you can get it in two ways. The first method is by going to Graham, who is the NPC at the Dinosaur Egg Stand.

You will receive a Dinosaur Egg from Graham by trading in any pet egg except another Dinosaur egg. The egg then takes 4 hours and 10 minutes to hatch. You can hatch the Pterodactyl with a 3 percent chance from this egg.

Another way you can get this egg is through Blaire, who is the Prehistoric Quest NPC. By completing one full set of Dino Quests, you can earn a Dinosaur Egg as a reward. You can complete these quests daily to get more Dinosaur Eggs, which will improve your odds of eventually hatching a Pterodactyl.

How To Use Pterodactyl In Grow A Garden

After you hatch a Pterodactyl, you can equip it from your pet inventory. You can equip up to three pets by default, and up to eight if you unlock all the extra slots. Its ability is called Sky Reptile, which occasionally applies the Windstruck mutation to multiple nearby fruits.

This will ultimately increase the sell value of your fruits during harvests. Pterodactyl has a second passive called Air Time, which boosts your jump height. Its hunger capacity is 40,000, so make sure to keep it well fed.
