Grow A Garden is a popular Roblox experience where you can grow plants, raise pets, mutate your plants to increase their values, and use gears to boost your garden. Recently, the Zen Update went live, which added the new Kitsune pet in Grow A Garden.

Unlike most pets that simply boost crop XP or duplicate harvests, Kitsune does something far more impressive. You can access a top-tier Mutation only through Kitsune in Grow A Garden. So, here’s a complete guide covering everything about how you can get Kitsune and how to use it.

How To Get Kitsune In Grow A Garden

To get Kitsune in Grow A Garden, you need to hatch Zen Eggs, which are available only during the Zen Event. You can get a Zen Egg in two ways, buy one for 149 Robux or exchange 30 Chi at the Tranquil Treasures Zen Shop. There is a chance for you to also get one as a reward when leveling up the Zen Tree by donating Tranquil crops.

Kitsune is the rarest pet in the Zen Egg pool, with an only 0.08% drop rate. This makes it a Prismatic-tier pet, so don’t expect to get it easily. You will need to hatch dozens of eggs before hatching Kitsune in your garden.

How To Use Kitsune In Grow A Garden

After you hatch Kitsune, it works passively without you needing to do anything manually. You need to simply place it in your garden and wait. Every 22 minutes, Kitsune will leave your garden, target another player’s fruit, apply either Chakra or Foxfire Chakra mutation to it, duplicate the mutated fruit, and bring it back to your garden.

Since the mutation and duplication are automatic, you should keep Kitsune in a part of the garden having free space so that you can place new fruits easily. The duplicated fruit is considered as if you harvested it, having a Mutation and full sale value.

Zen Event In Grow A Garden

The Zen Event is a limited-time event in Grow A Garden added in update 1.15.0. Every hour, a Zen Aura weather event triggers that lasts for 10 minutes. During this time, your crops can gain the Tranquil Mutation.

You can give the Tranquil fruits to the Zen Channeller NPC to grow the Zen Tree, which unlocks various levels of rewards in the Tranquil Treasures Shop. Alternatively, you can also trade them at the Zen Shop for Chi to purchase Zen Eggs, seeds, cosmetics, and more.

How To Get Tranquil Points (Chi)

After you have collected lots of Tranquil plants, you can exchange them for Tranquil Points (Chi), which is the currency for the Zen Event. To get Chi, you need to go to the Tanuki NPC running the Zen Shop, give all your Tranquil plants.

Simply talk to the Tanuki NPC and select either of the options ‘Take this plant’ if you’re holding one or ‘Take all my Tanquil plants’, if you want to give all plants from your inventory. The rarer a plant is, the more Tranquil Points it will give you after exchanging.

How To Level Up The Zen Tree

You can level up the Zen Tree by giving your Tranquil Crops to the Zen Channeller NPC. The NPC will convert your crops to Chi, which will be used to grow the Zen Tree. You will get different amounts of Chi depending on the rarity of the crop that you hand over.

The tree has multiple levels that you can level up with Chi. The more you level up the Zen Tree, the more items will be unlocked in the Tranquil Treasures Zen Shop. Each time the tree is leveled up, you will get a random reward. Both the stages and the rewards are given below:
