How To Get Dragonfly In Grow A Garden
You can get the Dragonfly only by hatching the Bug Egg. You will find it in the Pet Egg stall beside the Gear Shop in Grow A Garden. The Bug Egg is green with little wings on the sides and costs 50,000,000 Sheckles.
To make things more challenging, it only appears in the shop 3% of the time, so just finding one will be difficult for you. Once you’ve secured a Bug Egg, the odds still aren’t in your favor. The Dragonfly has just a 1% chance of hatching from it.
You will mostly end up with other bugs like the Snail, Giant Ant, or Caterpillar instead. To increase your odds of getting more attempts faster, you can purchase Exotic Bug Egg Packs from the Limited Time Shop for 199 Robux each.
While these premium packs don’t raise the Dragonfly’s hatching chance, they cut down the incubation time from 8 hours to just 30 seconds, giving you more chances in less time.
How To Use Dragonfly In Grow A Garden
Once you’ve successfully hatched a Dragonfly, you will want to place it on your farm immediately. Simply select the Dragonfly from your pet inventory and place it anywhere within your garden.
The Dragonfly automatically seeks out nearby fruits, and every ~5 minutes, it will apply the Gold Mutation to one random fruit, multiplying its base value by 20x. This is a huge leap in profitability, especially when used on high-tier crops like Dragon Pepper, Bendboo, or Suncoil.
Do note, however, that as of now, Mushroom-type crops are unaffected by this passive—a small limitation in an otherwise game-changing companion. Dragonfly comes with 25,000 Hunger.
You can feed the Dragonfly using crops like Bamboo to keep it functioning at peak performance. With proper care and enough active crops around, this pet can easily earn you hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Sheckles per hour in passive value gain.
