How To Level Up Gears In Cursed Gear

To unlock the full potential of your Gear, you need to level it up as fast as possible. Leveling increases both passive and active ability power, with major upgrades happening at five, seven, eight, and 10 levels. These levels are important milestones where skills gain new effects or stronger properties.

You can upgrade Gears by gaining Gear EXP. The main way to get Gear EXP is through Gear Orbs. You can obtain Gear Orbs from expedition loot, caches, mission rewards, open-world drops, and defeated enemies. When you use a Gear Orb, it increases your Gear EXP and the orb is consumed since it is a one-time item.

You can also upgrade a specific skill up to Level 5 by buying a Skill Upgrade for 200 Heian Rating (HR) from the Kogane NPC in the Neo Shibuya Black Market. Another important item is the Augment Orb, which changes how a Gear skill functions by adding a random augment to a skill from several available Gears.

How To Swap Gears In Cursed Gear

If you want to change your Gear or adjust your build, you need to use the Auto-Doc Station. This machine is located inside your PMC Base HQ. The Auto-Doc is used to swap Gears, reset attributes, and recover after expeditions.

The PMC acts as the headquarters for your faction and unlocks at Grade 4 in Neo Shibuya. After unlocking it, the PMC also becomes your default spawn location and main hub for build changes and preparation.

One important thing to remember is that Gear Level does not transfer when switching Gears. Every new Gear starts at Level 1, even if your previous Gear was Level 10.

Heavenly Restriction Gear Constraints In Cursed Gear

If you are lucky enough to roll the 1% Heavenly Restriction Clan trait, you get a very different playstyle with unique buffs and mechanics. However, there is a major drawback. You are permanently locked out of 5 of the 9 Gears because they require Cursed Energy.

              These Gears are:

              • Constructor
              • Hydra
              • Interceptor
              • Manipulator
              • Sensor

You can only use Executioner, Projector, Ravager, and Usurper with Heavenly Restriction, and you will get locked out of all Cursed Techniques. This happens because Gears control physical combat, while Techniques rely on Cursed Energy.
