Az-Tech Trail, in Astro Bot, is the stage that you unlock right after beating the Sky Garden level, and it’s the third level in the Gorilla Nebula. It’s also the level where you’ll get your first taste of Astro’s new abilities, in the form of frog-shaped boxing gloves, which you can use to find various collectibles.

Speaking of collectibles, just like the Sky Garden level, Az-Tech Trail also contains seven bots to rescue and three Puzzle Pieces to find, along with a secret warp to the Lost Galaxy. While some of these collectibles are easy to find, others are made not quite that way. So, here’s a complete Az Tech Trail Astro Bot Walkthrough, to help you.
Az-Tech Trail Bot #1
The first bot is located at the beginning of the stage. As you progress, you’ll come across a red ladybug enemy. Punch it so that it rolls onto its back and then bounce off of it to the platform on the left with a tree on it to find the bot you’re looking for.
Az-Tech Trail Bot #2
You’ll be able to find this bot after you get your boxing gloves. Progress along the main path, and you’ll come face-to-face with a cactus-like enemy. Now what you need to do is drop off the ledge to the right of where the enemy originally spawned, and you’ll notice a red pad on the wall. Use your gloves to pull it out, and you’ll find your bot chilling with a squirrel.
Az-Tech Trail Bot #3
The third bot is located right behind where the cactus enemy spawned. From the previous bot location, jump up the platform and then turn right to see a giant crate filled with Wumpa fruit. Break it with your boxing gloves, and you’ll find the third bot based on none other than the iconic Crash Bandicoot.
Az-Tech Trail Puzzle Piece #1
Shortly after you’ve saved the Crash Bandicoot bot, you’ll have to swing from a red cylinder, which you’ll come across following the main path. As soon as you land, turn left, and you’ll notice another red pad on the wall. Use your gloves to pull it, which will fill the area with water and reveal the first Puzzle Piece of the stage.
Az-Tech Trail Lost Galaxy Warp
Head along the main path until you get to the next checkpoint. Here, you’ll notice a wall with four torches right in front of you. Break the bottom torches and then pull the red pad on the right. This will cause a ladybug-like enemy to come out.
Once you defeat it then you need to bounce off and break the torches at the top. This’ll cause the wall to open, beyond which you’ll find a planet with cables hanging below it. Pull those cables, and you’ll successfully activate the Lost Galaxy Warp.
Az-Tech Trail Bot #4
This bot’s located in the next area. Beat the ladybug enemy again to hop onto the next area. Here you’ll find a golden door to the right, which you can break with your boxing gloves. The fourth bot will be beyond this panel in a secret area surrounded by enemies.
Az-Tech Trail Bot #5
Progress along the main path, and you’ll find yourself going against two dolls. Beat them and then use the bounce pad to reach the ledge to the right, where you’ll find another doll guarding the fifth bot hanging from a tree. Defeat the doll and then hit the tree to rescue the bot.
Az-Tech Trail Puzzle Piece #2
Continue along the main path, and after you arrive at the next checkpoint, turn right, and you’ll see another red pad on the wall. Use your gloves to pull, it which will reveal a platforming section. Jump and platform to the top to collect the second Puzzle Piece.
Az-Tech Trail Bot #6
After obtaining the second Puzzle Piece, continue along the main path until you get to the next checkpoint, where you’ll notice two moving green platforms in front of you. Use your gloves to pull the red pad on the platform nearest to you to rescue the sixth bot.
Az-Tech Trail Puzzle Piece #3
Once you’re done saving the sixth bot, continue along the main path, and you’ll find yourself swinging from two red cylinders to reach the next checkpoint. But before you get to the next checkpoint, swing from the second cylinder and go inside the hole in the wall near it for the stage’s third and final Puzzle Piece.
Az-Tech Trail Bot #7
Progress along the main path until you get to the next checkpoint. But once you’re here, instead of following the main path, go left, and you’ll find a red pad on the statue’s mouth. Use your gloves to pull it, defeat the enemies that spawn from the statue’s mouth, and then go inside the blue portal.
You’ll be transported to an area with a tricky platforming section. Jump and swing your way to the top, and you’ll find the stage’s final bot, who’s a cameo bot based on Jak from the Jak and Daxter games.
