It might sound easy at first, but it is quite challenging to use the resources at your disposal optimally to create the best team possible. While it is not possible to do everything perfectly in every matchup, here are some essential beginner tips and tricks for Valefor to help you win consistently in the Battle Arena and Dungeons.
Know How To Position Your Character
In every fight of Valefor, you can only deploy a limited number of characters. This adds a more strategic approach to winning fights because if you don’t place them in the right place, the enemy characters might outrange or blitz you.
Because of this, positioning plays a very important role. As a beginner, you should always try to place Fighters on the frontline, closer to your enemy characters. On the other hand, try placing Rangers at the farthest edge and Mages should be somewhere in the middle.
Always Get The Best Artifact Combinations
While your characters are important, the more crucial part is played by the artifacts you have. Having some extra artifacts can allow you to win fights that might’ve seemed unwinnable at first glance.
To help you consistently choose the best equipment available, here’s a tier list with all the equipment you can find in Valefor:
Tier | Artifacts |
---|---|
S | Reflective Armor, Amber Arcanist’s Ring, Talaria Boost, Crystal Veil |
A | Fist of Fury, Fearless, Shield of Resilience, Assassin’s Dagger, Life Seeker |
B | Infinity Bracelets, Crown of Life, Gladiator’s Cuirass, Chestplate of Nemesis |
C | Bull Power Helmet, Queen’s Mirror, Ancile Shield, Ambrosial Cord Belt |
Every Artifact can be upgraded to an even stronger version using ‘Gold Signets‘. These can be crafted using Gold, and cost around 256 Gold. NOTE
Choose The Right Characters For Your Team
There are over 10 different kinds of characters you can add to your team. Each of these characters belongs to one of four different races which are Elves, Familiars, Humans, and Orcs. Every character also has a class, which is either Warrior, Ranger, or Mage.
If you’re trying to win, having a balanced team is essential. This means, you’ll need to have one of each class, whether they’re from the same race or not. And all units aren’t created equal, so check out our Valefor Character tier list to know which ones you should craft first.
Your Team Syngery Is Very Important
Even though you can create a team with characters of multiple races, you can get extra bonuses depending on your synergy. Synergy bonuses are of two types, one is from races while the other is from classes.
Having multiple characters of the same class isn’t recommended. Rather, you should focus on maximizing race-based synergy bonuses. For example, Having three elves on your team gives you a Mana regen bonus. This is extra beneficial for Mages of that race.
You can create Class-based Synergy by equipping certain artifacts on your team members, rather than running multiple ones of the same class. NOTE
Always Choose The Best Perks
You also get to choose various perks in between stages of the Battle Arena or Dungeons from points known as the ‘Altar of Knowledge.’ These perks are essentially permanent stat boosts or passive abilities, which can make your team significantly more powerful.
While it’s hard for beginners to notice, every perk has a rarity. You can recognize this by the color of the text of the perk. If it is green, then it’s common while blue is rare and purple is an epic-rarity perk. Based on this, and your team composition, you should pick your perks carefully.
Your Base Buildings Are Equally Important
From the beginning of your playthrough, you will have to do a lot of combinations of various fragments to create better or more powerful artifacts and characters. This isn’t only limited to them and also applies to the buildings in your base.
Just like how you can purchase items from the ‘Trader‘ during dungeons, you can also buy buildings from the ‘Trader Hall’ in your base. These buildings can be combined into stronger ones, and provide significant perks to characters whose race aligns with those buildings.
Always Combine Fragments Optimally
Mindlessly combining fragments in Valefor is one of the most common mistakes most players make. Especially in challenging stages like in the Battle Arena, combining haphazardly can lead to your loss. Instead, you should have a clear notion of what you’re crafting and the recipe to do so.
The same advice goes when handling ‘Gold’ drops. You can combine these fragments to craft larger items that provide additional gold. This can go up to either the ‘Gold Signet’ which you can use to upgrade artifacts or the ‘Gold Crown’ which allows you to bring an additional teammate to fights.
Remember To Explore Every Dungeon In Valefor
While this is on the simpler side, you should remember to explore every inch of a dungeon. There are various chests, fragments, and artifacts you can find that can help you create a more powerful team.
Once you’ve decided on your favorite race, try to fixate on maximizing their fragments and crafting more of their buildings to have a much easier time clearing dungeons and winning fights in the Battle Arena.
